- Mies van der Rohe
- Take a walk through Lafayette park to take a look at Mies Van Rohe’s town houses. Built in 1958, they were originally part of a larger project including sixteen low-rise buildings, five high-rises, a school, community clubhouse, swimming pool, parking structures, and a shopping centre, envisioned by Mies but sadly were never built. Today only the townhouses stand, but are still considered a triumph in urban planning.

- The Fisher Building
- Often cited as “Detroit’s largest art object,” The Fisher Building is one of the best examples of Art Deco architecture. Spend some time taking in the hand painted arcade ceilings and admiring the marble, brass, and bronze materiality used throughout.
